Famous is popular as a ukulele for beginners and intermediate players. The FU-200, made with Hawaiian koa, features a beautiful appearance and a dry, "korokoro" sound. This is a beautiful instrument with curly figuring on the sides. There are scratches, clouding, and a simple repair at the bridge/neck joint, but it's easy to play and sounds great! It's built solidly, as you'd expect from a Japanese-made instrument. New strings have been installed. The string height is about 2.1-2.6mm, allowing for easy playing without buzzing!
