This is an embroidery from the Miao ethnic minority group in the remote mountains of Guizhou Province, China. I purchased this from villagers about 25 years ago when I visited a village of the Long Horn Miao in Guizhou, China, and have kept it at home since then. It is a one-of-a-kind, handmade piece. The embroidery depicts the Miao ethnic group's Dragon Boat Festival, and features auspicious designs such as turtles and carp.
