I preferred another outerwear piece, so I've only used this one a few times. There are no scratches or stains on the sleeves or zipper. I really loved the two-tone color scheme and bought it because of that. The dark earth tones are fashionable and perfect for fall and winter. It's made of nylon, which is stain-resistant, and I think the colors are also good at hiding dirt. It's not waterproof, but it can protect against light rain, and the hood is removable, so I think it would be suitable for daycare or kindergarten.
