This is a sanshin bag. It was made from a piece of washed and unpicked silk kimono with a large peony pattern, so there are no stains. It has a retro feel because it was an old kimono. The edges of the fabric are finished with a serger. The opening is wider than commercially available ones, so I think it will be easier to put the sanshin in. I think you can store it without the tenjin (headstock) sticking out by covering it like a hood. The tenjin cap is just a cover. Please consider it as a bonus.
