I'm not sure when or where it was made, but this is an inkstone that my grandparents used around the beginning of the Showa era. The dragon's scales, whiskers, and swirling clouds are carved in exquisite detail, suggesting it's a high-quality piece. The inside of the lid is also carefully carved to fit the inkstone.
