Please note that this item has yellowing due to age, as it has been stored in a dark place. There are some folds and scratches, but the inside is in very good condition. I bought this book because I loved the illustrations that were published in the newspaper at the time. The commentary on the Hyakunin Isshu (One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each) is also excellent, but I think the illustrations are truly wonderful. I would like to pass this on to someone who will use it, rather than letting it sit unused.
