I have been keeping Japanese honeybees for about 20 years, and so far, I have been able to catch them every year. I was very nervous when a swarming colony came to a new beehive that I was storing at my home (a densely populated residential area in Kanagawa Prefecture), which is not a bee yard (^_^;) ★Beeswax★ This is 100g of Japanese honeybee beeswax. It is made from beeswax collected in the clear air of the highlands of Shinshu, at an altitude of over 1,000 meters. It was collected last autumn. For beehive application, it is roughly refined, leaving a large amount of components other than wax (pollen, honey, etc.) that exist in the honeycomb. Please apply it to the inside of the waiting box and the planned hive, the top board, the bottom board, and around the hive entrance. ★Pressed Wax Residue★ This is 100g of honey pressing residue, which is the raw material of the above beeswax. As shown in image 7, there are rounded black objects, which are clumps of pollen that could not be crushed during honey extraction. It has been frozen once to prevent the occurrence of wax moths. I use 15-30g of it in a drain net, etc., and hang it in the waiting box with an S-hook as an attractant. According to some literature, dissolving a handful of honeycomb debris in 20L of hot water and applying it to the entire waiting box and hive increases the capture rate and decreases the escape rate. ☆There are some cracks and fissures that occurred during cooling. ☆If you are looking for high-purity wax that has been repeatedly refined, or beautiful wax, please refrain from purchasing. ☆The images are of one of several refined products, so the items you receive will not be exactly the same as the photos. ☆This is homemade beeswax for beehive application only.
