Thank you for viewing. This is a sometsuke (blue and white) dish purchased at an antique market. I liked the design on the inside and brought it home. What is it? It's a pattern of three leaves. Depending on the dish, it looks like a ginkgo leaf. It's probably a stylized design. Now, the question is the windows around the edge. The small windows have lattices and geometric patterns. What are the large windows? The more I look at them, the more fascinating they become. Is it smart to see them as flowers and leaves? Are the white circles a collection of fruit? Are the swirls a stylized design of something? Fuyo-de (lotus-shaped) dishes have interesting designs. 1. Edge chip, scratches. 2. Edge chip, scratches.
