The Tobu 50000 series is the first aluminum-bodied 20m 4-door commuter train of Tobu, which has been in operation on the Tojo Line since 2005. The unpainted aluminum body has orange coloring on the lower part of the front window and on the door pockets by stickers. The first 51001 formation had a non-penetrating front with a large single-pane front window, and the side windows were also single-pane fixed windows. From the 51002 formation, an emergency access door was offset on the front, and the position of the headlights/taillights was also changed accordingly.
