This is a Karatsu-yaki tea caddy made by Senshaku Uchiyama. There are minor scratches from years of use, and some wear on the gold leaf paper on the inside of the lid, but this is part of the charm of antiques. We hope someone will find it useful. The shifuku (protective silk bag) with the tsubo-tsubo (small dot) pattern is perfectly usable, but there is some wear on the gold thread of the tsubo-tsubo pattern due to years of use. However, there may be some inconspicuous scratches, natural fading, or dents due to aging and storage that I may have missed. Please understand this before purchasing. Basically, this is a used antique item, so please refrain from making claims due to minor scratches, dirt, or stains, unless there are major defects that would hinder its use.
