The classical patterns and the design of the metal handle and keyhole are cool and wonderful. The inside is vermilion. The material is unknown to me, as I am an amateur, but since it's a safe, I believe it's made of iron. There is no key, so you open and close it by sliding the knob above the keyhole to the right. The handle is raised for the photos, but it's difficult to keep it raised, so it will likely be in a lowered position most of the time. It is an old item, with age-related scratches, paint peeling, rust, etc., giving it a good vintage feel. It would go well with natural or traditional Japanese-style interiors.
