The CSP035 shin-juku drive is an overdrive pedal created in collaboration between the MXR Custom Shop and Shin's Music, a leading Japanese effects pedal brand, representing Shinichi Suzuki, to reproduce the sound of a boutique amplifier. This pedal, named after shin-juku (Shinjuku), a world-famous Japanese city, features a simple 3-knob operation system and a DARK switch that gently suppresses overtones and picking attack, designed to accommodate various usage environments such as the amplifier used and the audio interface used for home recording. In addition to MXR's pedal manufacturing technology, Shinichi Suzuki's tone tuning, which can be described as ultra-field-oriented, is exquisitely intertwined, resulting in a very high-quality tone unique to boutique pedals.
