This is a handmade, antique-style wooden tray designed to hold small items you want to keep handy while playing, such as a metronome, tuner, reed case, swab, mute, rosin, capo, pencil, smartphone, and glasses. It's made by inserting a commercially available resin stay into the center of a music stand. The tray can be kept almost horizontal because the resin stay has been angled. It can also be attached to stationary music stands like Manhasset (see photo 6). The outer dimensions of the tray, which has sponge cushioning on the bottom board to prevent loud noises during ensemble practice, are 257mm wide x 98mm deep x 32mm high. It weighs only 160g, making it light and easy to remove and carry. *There are three types of music stand racks: A, B, and C, depending on the installation method.
