Here's a pickup I made for my double bass. Because of this and another pickup I have that sits on the instrument, I might have made it necessary for other products to advertise "It's the real thing!" Sorry about that ((+_+)) This is a fake, lol. I'm still testing it out, but I think the sound is almost the same. I made a metal fitting to hook onto the strings and bring the pickup forward. It's like the image in the second photo. However, the handmade feel of the metal fitting is quite something. I recommend it to those who are okay with "as long as it works"... This type that hooks onto the strings probably has a wolf tone killer-like effect, so there are various opinions about its impact on the acoustic sound, but I think it's good for those who frequently attach and detach it. The sensor part is about 5mm thick, so you'll basically need to modify the bridge. On the other hand, it can be attached to the standard bridge of the Gliga in the photo with almost no modification. However, there seems to be individual differences, so I can't guarantee it. It's new, only tested for operation, but it's full of that handmade feel.
