This is a 1814 Sparkle Squares dress. I purchased it in the United States about 10 years ago. It is incredibly clean, a rarity to behold. I've been a collector for a long time, and I've never seen another dress of this quality. That's how clean it is. I doubt I'll ever see one like it again. If you have a beautiful mod doll, this dress exudes a stately beauty, so please consider it. It was worn by the princess in my home. It really made her the star! The only potential flaw is that the seam allowance on the lining of the skirt has been stiffened with something like fray check or craft glue. However, it's completely invisible from the outside, and I think it prevents further fraying, which is a good thing. I would say it's in mint condition. This type of clothing is very prone to fraying and damage, so if you're looking for one of the same level of quality, you'll probably end up with one that has been kept boxed. While it doesn't come with the stockings or white shoes, I will include the Japanese-made pink strap shoes that I displayed it with in a glass case.
