This is a hardball first baseman's mitt from about thirty years ago. It has a good shape, which is a matter of personal preference, but I think it's easy to catch with. It's game-ready. You can catch a soft ball without it moving around. I think it's a better deal than buying a cheap new first baseman's mitt. Basically, in my later years, I used it with a defensive glove on.
