Steam comes out when you put water in it. The dropper is set at the bottom of the rice cooker. I'm not sure how much battery life is left, but I've confirmed it works. I will ship it with the batteries inside. This is a used item that a child has played with, so there are some minor scratches, but I think it can still be used. I hope someone will use it. Thank you.
