This is a Kobukusa (old silk cloth). Please use it when presenting matcha or as a mat. [Cloth] Pure silk. It's not jet black, but a slightly grayish black. It features large and small tea containers placed in a shifuku (tea container bag). A few subtle lines are woven into some parts. The design fits perfectly within the Kobukusa's size of approximately 15cm x 16cm, and it's no exaggeration to say that it's "a fabric woven for Kobukusa." It's also suitable as a "Kobukusa to be admired," and its design creates a high-class, glamorous atmosphere in places like the entrance, waiting room, or floor display. For me, it was difficult to obtain this fabric, so I am grateful to the person who provided it. As it is a Kobukusa, I have applied a core to give it a slightly crisp finish. The last image shows it displayed on a "hanging scroll for Kobukusa." This is a proposal for a hanging scroll to admire Kobukusa. The hanging scroll is provided by "Mottsaru-san," whom I follow. Some people also use it in Kodo (the art of incense appreciation). Finished size: Made with a template of 5 sun (15.2cm) x 5 sun 3 bu (16.3cm), but please allow for some slight variations. [Sewing Method] Hand-sewn (traditional sewing method for traditional items). Three sides are sewn, and the short side of 5 sun is a "wa" (fold). ❤️ Since it's new, there are no creases in the center. When folding it in half, place the "wa" on the right side, choose your preferred side as the front, and fold it in half.
