"ESPARKS" is a manga work by Hiroshi Soya (Soppy-kun), who was a San-X employee at the time, and is the name of the protagonist of the work. As a San-X stationery series, the first series was released in 1989, and new products were announced twice a year thereafter, continuing until the 9th series in 1995. The front side has a luxurious, sparkling design, and the back side features monsters selected from postcards sent to San-X for a Shogakukan character contest.
