AURAL EXCITER TYPE C from 2channel APHEX model 103A A sound processor that enhances harmonics to sharpen the sound. However, it's the original exciter, using a different method than BBE. The Aural Exciter built into the Vestax PMC-20, 20S, and 20SL uses this technology under license from APHEX. If you want to get a similar exciting and thick sound on mixers other than the PMC-20SL, this is the quickest way. Of course, this is included in the PMC-20SL. No volume pot crackling. Inputs and outputs are RCA and 6.3mm phone jacks. Genuine product from when Otari Tech was the distributor. Made in USA. When applied lightly to the final stage of techno music, the hi-hats become more club-like, and the core becomes thicker.
