This is a repurposed obi (sash) made from a brown botanical patterned obi that has been cut and re-sewn into a tsukuri-obi (pre-tied obi). It was made by someone who often wore kimono. I received it as a gift, so I don't have any further details. ◆ Obi width: 30.5cm ◆ Material: I believe it is silk, but I cannot confirm. ◆ Photo 4: There is a seam 42cm from the end of the tare (hanging part). This part is not visible when worn. ◆ Photo 5: The underside of the tare has a dark matcha green gradation with silver threads woven in, giving it a shimmering effect. ◆ Photos 6, 7, and 8: The underside of the part that wraps around the body is made of cream-colored cotton fabric. The white string used for tying is made from a cut obiage (decorative sash).
