A practical book introducing the techniques and examples of tole painting. Pages are included, excerpted from image 10 onwards, and the page following the artwork has a life-size sketch with color usage instructions, as shown in image 11, on each page. Also, life-size sketches are included as an appendix [images 17, 18, 19]. This appendix has noticeable stains [image 19]. I have done tole painting before, and this is the book I used as a reference, so there is some soiling on the cover, etc. [image 3], but it is generally clean and there are no torn pages. It has a total of 87 pages + appendix. This is the first edition of the book, released in 1997, and the original price was 1600 yen (excluding tax), but I checked online and it seems that it is currently sold new for 2,240 yen.
