I found this in France. It's an antique soup tureen from the St. Amand kiln. Size: W 29cm x D 23cm x H 24.5cm The St. Amand kiln is a ceramic manufacturer founded in the town of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, near the Belgian border in northern France. Influenced by Eastern designs, they excel in beautiful, vibrantly colored blue and purple paintings. This is the St. Amand kiln's MUGUET (lily of the valley) series. The exquisite blue-green color, a specialty of the St. Amand kiln, is lovely. The plump, thick, warm ceramic surface features painted green lilies of the valley, appearing to exude fragrance. This soup tureen, made by Saint-Amand in France, depicts the delicate appearance of the flowers seen in the fields and mountains with a simple print. The lovely floral pattern suits this gorgeous dish, perfect for the center of a table. It is believed to be from the early 20th century. There are slight stains on the rim and the glaze inside, but these can be enjoyed as part of the antique character, and it is in good condition for pottery of this era.
