This is an Aizu-nuri tray, one of the three major lacquerware traditions of Japan, made from natural wood. The front of the tray features a beautiful design with carved butterflies. The underside has a raised bottom, and the four corners are reinforced with metal fittings. It's a lightweight tray. The dimensions are: 51.5 cm wide, 30.5 cm long, and 4 cm thick. It comes in a paper box.
