The operations that can be controlled with this remote are play, skip forward, skip back, and program. Recording is done using the REC MODE on the main unit and pressing the red button on the unit, so the record button on this remote cannot be used. Please note that the tray opening/closing is for a different Marantz model and will not open. The sound quality allows you to create high-quality recordings that are identical to the original CD sound. There are compatibility issues with CD-Rs, and some brands may not be recognized, so you need to be familiar with the brands that work. Included accessories are sample CD-Rs and blank CD-Rs, approximately 10. I used to include a silver-coated cable, but the 1-meter ones are now expensive, so it will be a 50cm cable.
