Area 51 Fuzz With box With manual, etc. This model was created to stably reproduce the sound of a germanium transistor Fuzz Face using silicon transistors. Based on my experience of playing and owning various vintage Fuzz Faces, from silicon to germanium, I would say that it doesn't sound remotely like a germanium Fuzz Face. However, considering it as a silicon Fuzz Face clone, I think it's a very well-made model with a high degree of accuracy. I highly recommend it, as it has a tone that is comparable to my favorite Fuzz Face, a 1969 BC108C silicon transistor model.
