This is a set of French-made Corelli bass strings (tungsten) for solo tuning (AEHF#). The strings are thin, making them easy on the left hand and facilitating accurate intonation. I bought them intending to put them on my own bass, but I never got around to it, and they've been sitting unused for several years. They are new, never taken out of the package. They initially sound a bit harsh, but they settle down over time. Although they are solo strings, I think they would work well if you tune them down one step each for orchestra tuning (GDAE).
