Back Packer's Stones' owner has been on assignment in South America since July of last year. One year after arriving, my main job settled down, and I was blessed with many connections locally, especially with natural stone miners and artisans of silver products in Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina. In addition to the natural stones I've handled so far, I would like to handle accessories made of silver and natural stones that I fell in love with locally in the future. [Art from the Country Closest to the Sun] Arte del Sol means "Art of the Sun" in Spanish. Our base, Ecuador, means "Equator" in Spanish, and its capital, Quito, is located at an altitude of 2850m directly on the equator, making it one of the cities closest to the sun in the world. Our mission is to spread the crafts and art we encounter in Ecuador, the country closest to the sun in South America, and through them, support the lives of the people there. [Our Commitment to Ecuador] We have experienced the culture and traditions by visiting various festivals and events in different regions. During this time, we have been searching for "crafts and craftspeople that Ecuador can proudly present to the world," which embody three elements: "materials from the land of Ecuador," "culture and traditions nurtured by the land," and "handicrafts made by the people of that land." Each craft is born from the land, shaped by inherited traditions, and holds a story with its creator from that region. We will deliver items that allow you to truly feel South American Ecuador.
