Driven by the "mottainai" spirit (a sense of regret over waste), I started using Mercari, hoping that items I no longer need can be useful to someone else. I've also studied a bit of traditional Japanese sewing, so I sometimes sell handmade kimono accessories. Silent transactions don't allow for a pleasant experience for either party.
