Thank you for looking at my profile. Putting myself aside, my mother-in-law passed away last February at the age of 102, but she was diligently working on chirimen crafts until the very end. Five years ago, the town facility "Rekishi Mirai-kan" planned a Hakuju exhibition for her at the age of 99. However, due to the coronavirus, it was temporarily suspended, but it was later reopened, and many people were able to see it. You can watch a video of my mother's exhibition by searching for "Hakuju no Chirimen Saiku Ten" at Kasamatsu Town Rekishi Mirai-kan on YouTube. All of the works are my mother's. Three years ago, I held an "101-year-old Grandma's Chirimen Saiku Exhibition" at Unumajuku in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture. Many people were able to see this as well. At that time, she made a lot of small chirimen crafts that could be made into brooches, and they were also displayed. Following her example, I have also been doing chirimen crafts for over 20 years. I want my children to know the joy of chirimen crafts, so I go to the community center once a month to teach elementary school students how to make chirimen crafts. And in February, I go to the kindergartens and nurseries in the town to teach them how to make chirimen craft Hina dolls that don't require needles. I've been doing this for over 10 years. Last year, I only made Hina dolls at one kindergarten, but the other three nurseries are still closed due to the coronavirus. The coronavirus has calmed down a bit, so I went to make them in February at the request of the kindergarten last year. I went to make Hina dolls again this year. I used to work in sewing, so I make almost all my own clothes except for sweaters. Six years ago, my grandchild set up Mercari for me, and I am a 78-year-old grandma, not an aunt, who is a beginner on Mercari. At first, I was confused when I went to the convenience store to ship items. I've gotten used to it quite a bit. I will continue to create with all my heart. There are no smokers, and I don't have any dogs or cats.
