Rare Vintage Showa Glass & Stained Glass Scraps from Kyoto Hello. We are "GALA WORKS," a glass studio in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto. From our studio, which inherits the roots of a carpentry shop founded in 1905, we are offering "cut pieces (scraps)" of glass generated during the production process. ■ Appeal of the Materials Offered ・ Showa patterned glass (approx. 50-75 years old): A rare vintage item that can no longer be manufactured. Its unique texture refracts light in complex ways, creating nostalgic and warm shadows – a superb material. ・ Stained glass (colored glass): Scraps of high-quality colored glass. Its charm lies in textures like rippling water and antique-like bubbles that change their appearance when held up to the light. ■ Usage Ideas [Accessories] For resin embedding (like ore/natural stones), nail art, earrings, ear cuffs, etc. [Interior] For mosaic art (coasters, etc.), kintsugi (joining broken pieces), sea glass-style arrangements, suncatchers, kaleidoscopes, candle decorations. [Glass Craft] For stained glass beginners' practice (cutting, router grinding, soldering, etc.), glass fusing.
