I started using Mercari at the recommendation of a friend. I'm selling a variety of items that I've carefully stored "someday..." and items that are no longer needed by us. I hope that someone else will be able to use them, embracing the spirit of "mottainai" (a sense of regret over waste). Also, a rural thing, perhaps...? We make do with what we have, and we have a lot of unopened, unused gifts received at celebrations and condolences that have been carefully stored for our children and grandchildren. Thinking about the sentiment behind them, I hesitate to throw them away... a whole two houses' worth. I would be grateful if I could meet someone who would use them. (^^) Even if I don't need them, I try my best to hand them over in a clean condition. Every encounter is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; I hope to have the pleasure of doing business with you. Also, I would appreciate it if you could request a "price reduction" or a "bulk purchase" in the comments.
