Welcome to kalastus lure production studio (カラストゥス ルアー製作工房). I handcraft lures after numerous fishing trips. I hope to share a lifestyle of enjoying nature and fishing through handmade lures. I showcase my work on Instagram. My starting point was the floating minnow I first held in the 1970s. Inspired by Lauri Rapala, the fisherman, I began making handmade lures. That's why the product names from my studio are in Finnish. Based in a workshop located in the Nagara River headwaters in Takasu, Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, rich in nature, I create each lure by hand, testing and refining the designs through actual fishing in the main streams and rivers. I was born and raised in the Nagara River basin and am also familiar with sea bass and catfish fishing. My product lineup includes stream fishing minnows, trout minnows, lures for cherry salmon and masu salmon, sea bass, and catfish. My work schedule is irregular, so replies may be delayed.
