Thank you for viewing. It has been over 50 years since I started making pottery. I pour my heart into making tea utensils, mainly teapots, with simplicity and tranquility. I carefully craft the tea strainer and other parts, and I believe that the tea cut when pouring is important, so I make them by hand. I also hold events where customers can glaze and fire their own unique and rare teapots, and authentic black Raku and red Raku tea bowls, even with rice-grain-sized (self-proclaimed, possibly the world's smallest ceramic piece, viewed with a magnifying glass). You can then enjoy a cup of tea from the bowl you made (reservation required, approx. 2 hours). You will surely cherish the tea bowl you fired yourself for a lifetime. For tea scoops, I have been searching for valuable and high-quality susudake (smoked bamboo) for about 25 years. I go to Kyushu around October to find multi-jointed bamboo (it's difficult to find bamboo I like). Susudake also varies greatly in quality. It is very difficult to work with susudake because most of it breaks during the long smoking process.
