Hello (^_^) Regarding the nickname "Oyaimo" (Parent Potato) In late autumn, satoimo (taro root) appears in stores. They're incredibly delicious when simmered or added to ozoni (New Year's soup). The satoimo sold in stores are usually small potatoes. In the ground, a parent potato forms on top of the seed potato, and small and grandchild potatoes grow around it. Parent potatoes aren't usually sold, but they're delicious to eat (^-^) Bringing home parent potatoes from the field, which would normally be discarded, and preparing them with care, feels connected to the spirit of cherishing things. (It might just be a sense of not wanting to waste things, though.) I think there are people among those selling on Mercari who feel the same way. I chose the nickname "Oyaimo" for the parent potato of the satoimo. I will strive to have pleasant transactions. Thank you.

こんにちは(^_^) ニックネームの”おやいも“について 晩秋になると店頭に並ぶのは、里芋です。 お煮しめにしたりお雑煮に入れるとそれはそれは美味しいですよね。 お店で売られている里芋は、普通小芋です。 土の中では、種芋の上部に親芋ができてその周りに小芋孫芋がついてきます。 親芋は流通しませんが食べると美味しいんですよ(^-^) 本当なら廃棄するところを畑から持ち帰り、心を込めて美味しく調理していただく親芋は、まさに物を大切にする心に繋がる気がします。 (単にもったいない精神かもしれませんが、) メルカリさんに出品する皆さまの中にも同じ気持ちで出品なさっているの方がいると思います。 里芋の親である芋“おやいも”をニックネームとしました。 気持ちのよい取引ができますように心がけていきます。よろしくお願いいたします。
