I love flowers, especially clematis, and I'm a bit of an otaku about them. I've recently gotten into bowling. I'm also passionate about leathercraft, mainly making bowling accessories. I bought a laser engraving machine and started making name tags for bowling. I'll include charms and name tags as extras. Something I've noticed recently about clematis: Clematis are generally resistant to insects, but there are exceptions. Texensis (tulip-shaped) and Viorna (bell-shaped) varieties are susceptible to caterpillars eating their leaves, so I need to use Seethrough Orthran insecticide. The popular 'Rouge' variety is prone to powdery mildew. If it gets it, improve ventilation and prune it back. I love empty yogurt containers. They're perfect for repotting cuttings that have rooted, especially Bifidus containers. The square ones are great for cuttings. Of course, I drill lots of holes in the bottom. My favorite varieties: Kaiser (short vines, lots of flowers, good for potted plants) Aphrodite Elegance Fumina (cute flower shape, blooms repeatedly even in the heat) Fond Memories (vines grow well, blooms a lot, somewhat resistant to the wilt disease that Florida-type clematis are prone to. It's weak in the heat, but tends to bloom in the fall when it cools down)
