I make hanten (Japanese padded coats) from kimono fabric. I use polyester quilted batting for the lining to give it a padded feel. Previously, I made a padded hanten from a kimono my mother left behind, and it was so warm, it felt like I was being embraced by her, and my heart was soothed. After that, I made them for family, relatives, and friends, and they were happy. Now, I'm making them by unraveling kimonos I've bought from used clothing stores. I also make samue-style jackets without padding. Both are made with great care to preserve the atmosphere of Japanese clothing. Since I use used clothing, there may be some color fading, creases, or slight stains, but please understand. I also accept requests. Please see "Kirara's Works Comment Dedicated" for details. Kimono fabric may shrink slightly or fade in color when washed with water. Please wash at your own risk. Items with particularly severe shrinkage or color fading will have "Do not wash with water" written in the product description. Also, when taking them to the dry cleaners, the cleaning fee is very high if treated as a kimono, so it is recommended to say "regular dry cleaning." I do not negotiate prices, but I have set up a bulk purchase discount. If you purchase two hanten or samue together, you will receive a 500 yen discount. [Example] Buying a 7000 yen hanten and an 8000 yen hanten together → 15000 yen total, but 500 yen off, making it 14500 yen. 3 items purchased together will receive a 1000 yen discount, 4 items will receive a 1500 yen discount, and so on, with a 500 yen discount for each additional item.
