The brewer is plastic with a metal base. The dripper has four bases that change the flow through the coffee and can give different flavours. The negotiator tool fits perfectly inside the brewer and can be used to fit flat circular paper filters inside it. The end of the negotiator tool can be swapped for two other ends to form a cone shape with the dripper APEX base.
