I dyed a cute little monk (like Ikkyu-san) and a calligraphy kanji hand towel with persimmon tannin. This fabric is quite hard to come by. Myoryin Temple Established in 1632 by a monk who accompanied the feudal lord Mitsumasa Ikeda from Tottori when he was transferred to Okayama. Mitsumasa was the last lord of Okayama Castle and the founder of the famous Shizutani School in Okayama. It's interesting to unravel history from just one hand towel ♡ Dyed with persimmon tannin for remaking. The illustrations of the little monks are cute, and I dyed them several years ago and have kept them carefully. The fabric is a fine, sturdy fabric, so it easily absorbs the persimmon tannin color, resulting in a relatively beautiful dye finish. If you use it for handmade crafts, it will probably turn into a wonderful piece... It would also be lovely to create pastries and display them.
