This is a tackle set that allows you to easily start ayu (sweetfish) fishing with just a rod. It includes a main line for a 9-meter rod. If you are using a shorter rod, please cut the main line to match the rod's length. This is a homemade rig with 10 hooks, size 8.5 or 9, from Kitsune or Yajima, tied at approximately 18 cm intervals. This size is ideal for quickly securing baitfish. The large gape of the hook makes it less likely for fish to escape and rarely causes fatal injuries, allowing you to accurately keep lively wild ayu. This hook is effective even during the peak season for catching many fish. It also reliably hooks ayu with tough skin during the autumn spawning season. The set includes one each of 3, 4, and 5-go sinkers, and one stopper. When continuously fishing with theコロガシ (korogashi) method, ordinaryコロガシ sinkers will have their holes for the line crushed and become unusable after replacement, even if the line doesn't break. However, the sinkers in this set have wire passed through them, so when the main line part gets damaged, you can retie it, and I have never lost a sinker myself. You won't lose the sinker unless it gets snagged directly on the bottom and you pull too hard. Furthermore, if a hook gets snagged and cannot be removed, you can pull the main line without disturbing the fishing spot, and the line will break from the stopper attached to the sinker. Even if you hook a large salmon, cherry salmon, or nibe, the line will break from the stopper without damaging the rod or main line.
