I believe this is a very old obi, but it has no noticeable damage and is very lovely. It has basting stitches, but it is not unused. This is an obi from the past with a firm, thick lining. It has the strength to withstand being pulled tightly. It seems like it can still hold up well. As it is an old item, age-related deterioration is unavoidable. There are stains and scuffs. I would like to pass this on to someone who understands antique kimonos. I would be happy to pass this beautiful obi from the good old days to someone who will cherish it.
