This is a long bag for a chuzao (medium-neck) or hosozawao (thin-neck) shamisen. It is made from unsewn haori (kimono jacket) fabric. The fabric is black with woven asanoha (hemp leaf) and sayagata (interlocking gammadion) patterns. The lining is also made from unsewn kimono fabric. It has a single pattern as an accent. It is a woven pattern. The base color is wisteria. It may appear to have scattered patterns, but this is just the ground pattern shimmering. Both the outer and inner fabrics are pure silk.
