This is a set of three handkerchiefs from the late Master Senkyo Irifunetei IX, a unique Rakugo storyteller loved by everyone for his nonchalant storytelling and profound humanity. The colors have changed over time, and I believe the two colors other than yellow-green are rare. Master Senkyo was also renowned as a haiku poet and served as the master of ceremonies for the "Tokyo Yanagi Kukai," which included Master Kosanji Yanagiya, Mr. Rokusuke Ei, and Master Beicho Katsura III. His haiku name was "Kōseki." "Happiness is the pale green sprout of an onion."
