This is a Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a high-quality piece with a deep vermillion lacquer and a charming Shinobu-chinken (inlaid design) with blue lacquer. While chinkin (gold inlay) and chinkoku (black inlay) are common, this is a rare piece where blue lacquer is applied after carving. The adorable pair of quail chinkin on the inside of the bowl is also a highlight. There are only slight storage scratches, and overall it is in good condition.
