I purchased this to help my son prepare for his entrance exams. It's in almost perfect condition, having only been read once. I thought it would be advantageous for him on the entrance exam if he had a grasp of the overall flow and characters of The Tale of the Heike (classical Japanese). The target audience is upper elementary to junior high school students, but I think it would also be good for high school students preparing for university entrance exams.
