National Electric Kotatsu DW-100LA Infrared Health Kotatsu for Sleeping, with Box. This is a retro heating appliance from the mid to late Showa era, with a heater unit built into a wooden yagura (lattice frame). The material is solid beech wood. It was used with a typical kotatsu futon as a table, or to warm the inside of a futon when sleeping. Manufactured by Matsushita Electric Manufacturing, it is an appliance that is also housed in museums as a Japanese folk life artifact. Although it is old, it has not been used much and is in a clean condition with no scratches. The old National logo on the box is also valuable. Power confirmed.
