He passed away in 1994, making this the last album he recorded during his lifetime. A mysterious musician, he released his first leader album in '69, followed by albums in '70 and '75, but then went into seclusion. It was the well-known Bill Laswell who brought him back to the forefront. He began to perform consistently after participating in Laswell's unit "LAST EXIT." This work was produced by Laswell, and the participating members are also amazing. Saxophone by Pharoah Sanders, drums by Elvin Jones, musicians associated with Coltrane. Charnett Moffett, son of Ornette Coleman's associate Charles Moffett, is involved with acoustic bass.
