LIVE CREAM VOLUME Ⅱ ★Eric Clapton★Jack Bruce★Ginger Baker ■ Half a century ago, the formation of this supergroup of just three members caused a huge stir in music magazines and specialist programs. Now, Jack Bruce passed away on October 25, 2014, at the age of 71, and Ginger Baker passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 80. I was caught up in the excitement at the time and bought this new for my collection. However, I was reluctant to play it often, so I recorded it on a cassette tape and usually listened to that instead. ◼️ I avoided sunlight and humidity to prevent stains, discoloration, and mold, and would occasionally look at the jacket and lyric sheet. Therefore, the white jacket, which tends to get dirty, is still clean, and the inner sleeves are as good as new. ◼️ I learned from a music magazine that storing LPs in vinyl bags for a long time traps humidity, generates static electricity, and causes dust to adhere to the record surface. So, I have protected them by storing them in special kraft paper bags. I will also include that bag (image 12). ■ Clapton's expression during this period was fierce, and he seemed to be channeling his anger into something, playing "fast solos" with his Gibson SG and Les Paul guitars, and I, as a young man, was rapidly drawn in. Among them, the hit songs "White Room" and "Sunshine〜" are noteworthy for their amazing live performances, but "Hideaway," with its flowing solo that explodes for nearly 14 minutes, is a masterpiece. ◼️ Jack Bruce plays melodies like a lead guitar with his fretless bass, creating sparks with Clapton. I can understand why Ginger Baker complained, "The bass sound is too loud!" (laughs).
