This is a Tsugaru shamisen nagabukuro (long bag). It was made from an unsewn bolt of Tsumugi silk fabric. It has a fine navy and blue checkered pattern. The lining is made from a thin, black Oshima Tsumugi silk fabric, also from an unused bolt. Roughly measured when laid flat: The longest part is 120cm. The width where the body of the shamisen fits is 34cm. This is a hobbyist's creation, so please understand. Thank you.
