Deba knife, blade length 16.9cm, 264g. The spine is about 8.6mm thick near the top of the heel. It's a "Sumida River" brand, which seems to be an older brand. It's only found on the used market. It comes in fairly frequently. This is a genuine kasumi knife, made by forging soft iron and steel together. The rust marks are mostly gone, but there are faint marks and scratches near the inscription. As shown in the last photo, there's a deep mark on the back that I couldn't remove even after spending a lot of time on it. The handle has been replaced with a new one, so it should last a while. I sharpened it thoroughly, put an edge on it, and polished it. Please see my profile for details on the restoration process.
